1 star: Buffalo -3 over Cleveland
Browns have improved talent level of team, especially with rookie QB and RB, and deserve to be favored as home team. Bills’ talent still superior, especially at WR and defensive line. Add this to the fact that Browns’ best defensive player, Hayden, misses the game (suspension) and we’ll give Buffalo a try on the road.
1.5 stars: Kansas City, buying half point to +10 -120, over New Orleans
1 star: Kansas City +2.3:1 moneyline
The Saints have gotten much healthier which is why this isn’t a stronger pick. However, it seems unlikely that the Saints diminution in fortune this year can be laid solely at the feet of injury. Even if the return of Saints’ full coterie of WRs is a major help, there is no way this team should be a 9.5 point favorite. Chiefs’ offense should be good enough to keep them in close contention.
2 star: Tampa Bay +9 over Dallas
1 star: Tampa Bay +2.25:1 moneyline
This could be trap game as Cowboys should be very emotionally jacked up after last week’s disappointing loss. Nevertheless, Tampa Bay has one of the best sets of skill position players in the league in what I believe is a return to form in QB Freeman.
